Indonesia really is an adventure playground. Its violent geography has created some of the most spectacular landscapes on earth, with enormous volcanoes soaring from the sea and pristine reefs and marine ecosystems surrounding over 18000 islands of the archipelago. Sacred Komodo plays on these assets to bring you the ultimate adventure expedition.

We will first climb the amazing Gunung Rinjani, an active volcanoe that nearly reaches 4000m above sea level on the island of Lombok. To reach her summit one must trek through open savannah, along exposed ridge lines and down steep cliffs. Your reward however is unrivalled vist as of Bali, Lombok and Sumbawa, amazing scenes of sheer cliffs and a high altitude lake as well as access to thermal hot springs .Rinjani in itself is considered by many as the best short adventure in Asia.

However we are adding a an extension to this that will appeal to those that like to work hard and then play hard. After our epic journey to the summit of Rinjani, we will fly to Flores and board our luxury Phinisi for 5 glorious days of sailing around the Komodo Islands. We will trek to look for the infamous Komodo Dragon as well as SCUBA and snorkel some of the best reeks on the planet.

Day 01
Arrive in Bali and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02
Transfer to Denpasar Airport for flight to Lombok. From there we will pick you upand take you to the Sheraton on Sengiggi beach. There will be a briefing on theclimb either today or the following morning. The day is free to shop for last minutethings.

Day 03
An early start for the beginning of a challenging day ahead. Our car will pick us up and transfer us to Lawang. From there we will trek through savannah like country,up the steep outer rim and camp at base camp. (8 hours walk)

Day 04
Another early day with a 2 am wake p for our summit attempt. We hope to reach the summit by sunrise, about 630am for the awesome views over the crater lake, Bali and Sumbawa. We then walk down to the shore of Segara Anak.

Day 05
Today we will trek from the Lake to the Northern Rim, looking back on where wecame from. From there we head down to Senaru overnight in a local guest house.

Day 06
From Senaru, we will transfer to Mataram airport for our flight back to Bali. Fromthere we transfer to Labuan Bajo, Flores, where we will be met at the airport by the boat crew. After a refreshing welcome drink, we set sail, heading south. Now it istime for a short introduction to the facilities of our vessel and the tour program. Afterwards, there is only one thing left to do: relax and enjoy great views, while we are steaming towards our first stop: the famous Komodo-Archipelago. Sunset Dinner and overnight at Rinca.

Day 7: “Dragon-Walk”
Komodo dragons are the world’s largest lizards. They only live on the islands of Komodo and Rinca. After an early breakfast we start a 3-hour trek. We walk through the island to observe the Komodo Dragons in their pure environment as well as an opportunity to observe other animals such as deer, horses, birds etc, in their natural habitat. After returning to the boat we have theopportunity to swim or snorkel on a beautiful local beach.

Day 8
This day in paradise is dedicated to swimming, beach walking. Highlight: Pink Beach – some beaches are red-colored by pulverized red coral. In the evening, we’ll barbeque on a deserted beach under the star-spangled sky. Overnight in the beautiful quiet lagoon of Padar.

Day 9
Today we climb the local summit and enjoy a splendid panorama over the moon-shape islands of the Komodo Archipelago and the mainland of Flores. After lunch depart for the main island Komodo. In the evening we’ll have dinner under the stars.

Day 10
Arrive in Labuhan Bajo. From there we will be taken back to the Eco Lodge fofor the night. It is free time to relax and explore.

Day 11
We will fly back to Bali at midday and transfer to our hotel. Free time to explore.

Day 12
Today we return home or head to our next destination.
